Let’s Talk About Faeries

This video is a brief discussion about the gifts, attributes, lessons and experiences I’ve had with the faery/elemental/nature spirit realm. 🌸

As an Irish person, I grew up hearing stories about the land of Tír na nÓg, which is said to be a land of eternal youth and beauty, and is the home of the faery realm. Legend has it that if humans are lucky enough to go to this mystical land, they cannot return to the human realm without enduring severe consequences. 🦋

To me, the tale of Tír na nÓg is a metaphor for the journey we pass through when we begin to open up to our spiritual paths. Once we begin to glimpse a more expansive way of being, we are forever changed … even if that change is subtle. We cannot slip back into old, potentially self-destructive habits without being acutely aware that we once experienced something more. ✨

I grew up hearing stories of leprechauns and their pots of gold, too. Much of the lore around leprechauns warns of what can befall greedy humans who attempt to bully or intimidate leprechauns into handing over their gold. I see such stories as cautionary tales about how humans need to interact in a respectful way with the natural world that nourishes us. ☀️🌍
